About

Hi everyone!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I am so excited to have you here! I started this writing journey in August 2017 at the time that my dad received a life-threatening cancer diagnosis. My life flashed before my eyes as I envisioned everything that would ultimately happen without him. I held on tight, writing my way through the next few weeks that led to his eventual passing away.

I began writing here after not being able to find my voice anywhere else on the Internet. I could not find the perspective of a young girl turned care taker, so I sought out to become it. I am so grateful I did as this blogging experience has strengthened many existing relationships and formed incredible new ones. Through this, I have learned how to articulate my thoughts and feelings with greater confidence.

Now, I enter a new journey. I am through the immediate aftermath of grief, and am emerging into life after loss as I go back to school and hit the play button on life again. I am from Northern California where I am grateful enough to attend my dream university. There, I study Communication with hopes of one day becoming an executive in the airline industry.

From the bottom of my heart, I am truly grateful to have you as a reader. I hope that my story has opened your eyes in some way and opened your heart in many ways. Please feel free to use the “Contact” page to share your own story with me — rather it be of love, loss, or something completely different, I am always here to share in the peaks of happiness and the valleys of sorrow with my readers.

xoxo,

Danielle
